1. What Is the Community Assistance Program?
The Community Assistance Program is a charitable initiative operated by Fishlanthropy Foundation, Inc. designed to provide direct, timely financial assistance to individuals and causes in need.
The program is powered by:
-
community participation,
-
transparent funding,
-
and modern technology,
while remaining grounded in traditional nonprofit principles of fairness, discretion, and accountability.
2. How the Program Works (High Level)
-
Submissions
Individuals or community members may submit requests for assistance through approved Foundation channels. -
Initial Review
Submissions are reviewed to ensure they meet eligibility standards and do not violate program rules. -
Community Input
Some requests may be presented for community recommendation or voting, using tools integrated with the Fisheez platform. -
Foundation Approval
The Foundation’s Board or authorized committee retains final discretion over all funding decisions. -
Payout
Approved recipients receive funds directly from the Foundation, typically via blockchain-based payment methods.
3. Who Can Receive Assistance
Assistance may be provided to:
-
individuals facing hardship or emergency situations;
-
people affected by fraud, displacement, or unexpected financial distress;
-
community-based causes aligned with the Foundation’s mission; or
-
other charitable needs approved by the Board.
Submission does not guarantee funding.
4. Types of Assistance
The Foundation may provide assistance in forms including:
-
one-time emergency grants;
-
small recurring grants;
-
community relief distributions;
-
special campaigns or matching initiatives; or
-
other charitable disbursements consistent with nonprofit regulations.
The Foundation may vary:
-
payout size,
-
frequency,
-
and selection process
based on available funds and community needs.
5. Role of Community Participation
Community members may help shape outcomes by:
-
recommending causes;
-
voting or ranking submissions;
-
participating in time-limited selection rounds; or
-
contributing feedback to improve future programs.
Community input informs decisions but does not replace the Foundation’s responsibility to exercise charitable discretion.
6. Transparency & Trust
The Foundation prioritizes transparency while respecting privacy:
-
aggregate funding activity may be publicly reported;
-
blockchain transactions may be auditable;
-
personal recipient details are kept confidential.
The Foundation does not sell recipient data or allow donors to control individual payouts.
7. Speed vs. Safety
The program is designed to balance:
-
speed — getting help to people when they need it; and
-
safety — protecting donors and the community from abuse.
Verification requirements may vary depending on:
-
payout size;
-
urgency;
-
prior participation; or
-
risk signals.
8. What the Program Is Not
The Community Assistance Program:
-
is not a loan program;
-
is not a crowdfunding platform;
-
is not a marketplace for services;
-
does not guarantee outcomes; and
-
does not create an employment or compensation relationship.
All funds are distributed as charitable assistance.
9. Relationship to Fisheez
Fishlanthropy Foundation is a separate nonprofit organization that may collaborate with Fisheez Public Benefit Corporation for technology, visibility, or community engagement.
The Foundation:
-
controls all charitable funds it receives;
-
makes independent funding decisions; and
-
operates in accordance with nonprofit law.
