Peacemaker Conflict of Interest Rules & Disqualification Reasons
Last updated December 17, 2025
Peacemakers must remain completely neutral.
A conflict of interest happens when a Peacemaker has any relationship, bias, or incentive that could affect their vote.
This article explains:
-
What counts as a conflict
-
When you must NOT participate
-
Automatic disqualification rules
-
Behavior that can remove you from the Peacemaker program
1. When You MUST NOT Participate in a Dispute
You should not vote or ask questions if any of the following apply:
A. You are or personally know the Buyer or Seller
Examples:
-
You are the buyer or seller
-
Friends
-
Family
-
Former coworkers
-
Anyone you have a personal connection with
B. You have ever bought from them or sold to them
Past transactions create bias.
C. You have interacted with them as a Promoter, Reseller, or Affiliate
If you helped promote their item or earning potential, you cannot judge their dispute.
D. You are following each other or communicating off-platform
Any off-platform contact = conflict.
E. You feel emotionally biased
If you catch yourself thinking:
-
“I feel bad for this person”
-
“I don’t like this kind of seller”
-
“This buyer seems annoying”
…stop participating.
Peacemakers vote based on evidence, NOT emotions.
2. Automatic Disqualification by SmartShell
SmartShell automatically prevents Peacemakers from participating when they are:
-
The Buyer
-
The Seller
-
A Promoter for that listing
-
A tagged participant in the transaction
-
Linked to the listing in any way
If SmartShell blocks you, do NOT attempt to bypass it.
3. Unacceptable Behavior (May Remove You From the Program)
The following behavior can result in suspension or permanent removal from the Peacemaker program:
A. Arguing with buyers or sellers
You may ask questions — you may NOT debate.
B. Posting rude, sarcastic, or unprofessional comments
Examples:
-
Insults
-
Mocking
-
Complaining
-
Emotional reactions
C. Trying to influence other Peacemakers
Voting is independent.
Never comment on how others should vote.
D. Creating or spreading off-platform discussions about an active case
All review must stay inside the dispute thread.
E. Taking sides publicly outside the dispute
Never advocate for users on social media, DMs, or Discord.
F. Using the Peacemaker system for personal revenge or ideological bias
This includes:
-
Disliking certain item categories
-
Disliking certain countries
-
Political or moral bias
-
Favoring certain types of users
G. Repeatedly low-effort voting without reviewing evidence
If your voting shows you are not actually evaluating cases, you may be removed.
4. Confidentiality Rules
Peacemakers must keep all dispute details strictly confidential.
Do NOT share:
-
Screenshots
-
Evidence
-
User claims
-
Voting results
-
Case discussions
Disputes contain private information and must stay inside the Fisheez platform.
Violations may result in immediate removal.
5. When to Step Back
If you are unsure whether something is a conflict, use this simple test:
“Would I be comfortable defending my neutrality if everyone saw my vote?”
If the answer is no — do not participate.
6. Temporary or Permanent Removal
Peacemakers may be suspended or removed if:
-
They show repeated bias
-
They demonstrate inconsistent or unpredictable voting
-
Their behavior disrupts the dispute process
-
They violate any rules in this Knowledge Base
-
They create confusion or hostility inside disputes
Removal does not affect the user’s ability to buy or sell on Fisheez.
7. Your Responsibility
Peacemakers play a crucial role in the fairness of the marketplace.
If you participate, you must:
-
Be neutral
-
Be respectful
-
Be consistent
-
Follow the rules exactly
-
Use evidence correctly
-
Ask questions only when necessary
-
Vote without bias
This is how we build trust and fairness across the entire platform.
