These Category-Specific Rules (“Rules”) govern the requirements, restrictions, disclosures, and dispute standards for each supported category on the Fisheez Platform.
They supplement, and are subordinate to, the following documents:
- Fisheez Terms of Service (including §10 Category-Specific Provisions)
- Listing Rules & Prohibited Items Policy
- Seller Agreement
- Buyer Agreement
- SmartShell Escrow Agreement
- Dispute Resolution & Refund Policy
- Promoter Program Terms
- Privacy Policy
If any conflict exists, the Terms of Service control, followed by the SmartShell Escrow Agreement and Dispute Resolution & Refund Policy.
1. Purpose & Scope
These Rules define:
- required disclosures for Sellers in each category;
- Buyer responsibilities and risk considerations;
- the evidence Peacemakers may rely on during disputes;
- items or activities that are restricted or prohibited; and
- additional requirements for higher-risk categories.
These Rules apply in addition to all platform-wide rules, prohibitions, and verification requirements.
2. Physical Goods
2.1 Allowed Items
Physical consumer products, collectibles, home goods, electronics, apparel, tools, and other tangible items, provided they comply with:
- Listing Rules & Prohibited Items Policy;
- applicable law; and
- the relevant category-specific provisions in TOS §10.
2.2 Required Disclosures
Sellers must accurately disclose:
- condition, using the Fisheez condition fields shown during listing creation (platform-defined; not listed here to avoid conflict with UI);
- all known defects, damage, malfunctions, or missing components;
- whether accessories, manuals, or packaging are included;
- authenticity issues or material deviations from manufacturer specifications.
2.3 Not Allowed
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
- any item prohibited under the Listing Rules & Prohibited Items Policy;
- unsafe or recalled products;
- items requiring licensing unless allowed and seller is compliant;
- counterfeit goods or trademark-infringing items.
2.4 Return Eligibility
Physical goods may be returned under the Dispute Resolution & Refund Policy unless prohibited by a supported category rule in TOS §10.
Sellers may not create unauthorized “all sales final” designations outside categories where Fisheez expressly permits them.
2.5 Dispute Standards
Peacemakers may review:
- listing descriptions and required condition fields;
- buyer/seller messages;
- photos and video evidence;
- shipping logs, tracking timestamps, and platform event logs;
- evidence related to misrepresentation, non-receipt, or damaged goods.
3. Digital Services
3.1 Allowed Items
Digitally deliverable services, including but not limited to:
- creative work;
- technical or development services;
- consulting;
- educational or training services;
- document creation or editing.
3.2 Required Disclosures
Sellers must provide:
- clear scope of work;
- deliverables;
- revision terms;
- timelines;
- any Buyer prerequisites or required assets.
3.3 Restrictions
Prohibited services include:
- illegal services;
- academic dishonesty;
- hacking or unauthorized account access;
- licensed services unless the Seller is legally permitted to perform them in the jurisdiction.
3.4 Dispute Standards
Peacemakers may review:
- work versus the defined scope;
- version history and submitted deliverables;
- milestone approvals;
- message logs;
- video evidence (e.g., screen recordings confirming delivery).
Approved milestones are final and cannot be disputed.
4. Local / In-Person Services
4.1 Allowed Items
In-person services not requiring licensure unless legally permitted, including:
- repairs, installation, basic labor;
- photography/videography;
- tutoring;
- cleaning;
- yard work;
- moving or hauling.
4.2 Required Disclosures
Sellers must define:
- scope of work;
- location or service radius;
- pricing method (fixed or hourly);
- required equipment;
- relevant safety or environmental conditions;
- Buyer prerequisites (e.g., access to property).
4.3 Limitations
Fisheez does not insure physical injuries, property damage, or professional liability.
SmartShell governs only the release or refund of funds.
4.4 Dispute Standards
Peacemakers may review:
- evidence of arrival/no-show;
- photos or video documenting work product;
- GPS or time-stamped screenshots;
- proof of Buyer compliance with prerequisites.
5. Local In-Person Goods Transactions
Covers local pickup, in-person inspection, meet-ups, and future Fisheez Hubs or QR-verified handoffs (when implemented).
5.1 Required Rules
Both parties must:
- meet at the agreed time and place;
- visually inspect the item;
- follow any Fisheez Hub rules (once active);
- complete QR verification when required by the platform for that listing.
Failure to complete required verification before escrow expiration may result in automatic SmartShell outcomes per the Dispute Resolution & Refund Policy.
5.2 Safety Requirements
Users must meet in publicly safe or designated locations and comply with all platform safety instructions.
5.3 Dispute Standards
Peacemakers may review:
- photos or video of the item during pickup;
- communication logs;
- GPS or time-stamped location evidence;
- QR verification logs (once active).
6. Live-Stream Commerce & Live Event Listings
6.1 Allowed Listings
Any item or service permitted on the platform may be sold via live-stream sessions, including:
- live auctions;
- fixed-price claim sales;
- multi-item streams;
- service sessions;
- sealed or mystery packs only when fully disclosed.
6.2 Required Disclosures During Live Streams
Sellers must:
- display the actual item on camera;
- verbally disclose material defects or missing components;
- clearly state price, claim rules, or auction rules;
- avoid misleading statements;
- follow all applicable category rules.
6.3 Buyer Conduct
Buyers must:
- claim or bid responsibly;
- avoid harassment or disruptive behavior;
- ask any clarifying questions before claiming or bidding.
6.4 Dispute Standards
Peacemakers may review:
- live-stream recordings (video evidence);
- screenshots;
- what was shown on camera;
- what was verbally stated;
- chat logs;
- required condition fields in the associated listing.
Video evidence carries significant weight.
7. High-Risk Regulated Categories (Summary)
These categories are allowed but require strict compliance with TOS §10 and all applicable laws.
This Rules document provides a summary only.

7.1 Real Estate
Permitted with strict conditions under TOS §10:
- Listings must be created by verified owners or licensed agents.
- SmartShell may hold earnest money deposits or full purchase funds.
- All legal contract execution and title transfer occur off-platform through licensed professionals.
- No attempt to conduct a legal closing, deed transfer, or securities offering on-platform.
- Peacemakers may review deeds, settlement statements, contracts, title letters, and related evidence.
7.2 Vehicles, Parts & Accessories
Permitted under TOS §10 with restrictions:
- All vehicles must include a valid VIN or clearly disclosed exception (pre-1980, off-road).
- Sellers must comply with federal and state laws (e.g., emissions, safety, hazmat shipping).
- Certain parts (e.g., airbags, catalytic converters) require additional compliance.
- Sellers must comply with dealer-licensing laws for volume of sales.
- Titles may not be sold separately.
7.3 Adult Items & Content
Permitted only where explicitly allowed in TOS §10 and subject to:
- age verification;
- content restrictions;
- compliance with federal and state law;
- prohibition on illegal or non-consensual content.
7.4 Restricted Services
Certain services may require qualified/licensed providers, including:
- legal services;
- medical or therapeutic services;
- financial or tax consulting;
- regulated trades (e.g., electricians, plumbers in some jurisdictions).
Only permitted if the Seller is properly licensed and compliant with local law.
8. Enforcement & Consequences
Violations of these Rules may result in:
- listing removal;
- transaction cancellation;
- loss of Buyer protections;
- suspension or termination;
- referrals to law enforcement where required.
Peacemaker decisions remain final per the SmartShell Escrow Agreement.
