Listing Rules Policy

1. Purpose & Scope

This Listing Rules Policy establishes the mandatory requirements for creating and maintaining listings on Fisheez. It applies to all Sellers, Promoters, and any user who publishes, edits, or manages listings on the platform.

This Policy is incorporated by reference into:

  • Fisheez Terms of Service
  • SmartShell Escrow Agreement
  • Seller Agreement
  • Buyer Agreement
  • §10 Category-Specific Provisions (which govern additional rules by category)

Compliance is required for continued access to listing privileges.


2. Accurate Listing Requirements

2.1 Truthful & Complete Information

All listings must include:

  • Accurate title and description
  • Accurate condition
  • Accurate photos of the actual item
  • Accurate depiction of services (for service listings)
  • Honest disclosure of defects, flaws, or missing parts

Misrepresentation is prohibited and may result in removal or account action.


2.2 Required Photos

Listings must include:

  • Clear, unedited photos of the actual item
  • No stock photos unless:
    • The item is factory-sealed and
    • The Seller includes at least one real-world photo of the actual item in hand

2.3 Prohibited Photo Practices

  • AI-generated product photos (unless approved for digital goods)
  • Blurred or misleading images
  • Using images of another seller’s item
  • Using copyrighted imagery without rights

3. Category Placement

3.1 Correct Category Required

The Seller is responsible for selecting the correct category and sub-category. Improper category placement can result in removal, forced editing, or penalties.

3.2 Category-Specific Rules

Some categories have additional obligations. Every listing in a impacted category must comply with:

Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Automotive
  • Electronics
  • High-value collectibles
  • Physical services
  • Digital services
  • Local/in-person trades

4. Pricing Rules

4.1 Prices Must Be Real

  • Price must reflect the full cost of the item or service
  • No “bait listings” with $1 prices for products actually worth hundreds
  • No “contact me for pricing” structures

4.2 Fee Visibility

Sellers acknowledge:

  • Their Shorefront tier and TideTurner NFT may affect discounts
  • The buyer pays the platform service fee
  • The “Best Discount Wins” logic applies (buyer vs seller)

5. Shipping, Local Pickup & Service Rules

5.1 Shipping

If listing requires shipping:

  • Seller must ship within the timeframe they choose at listing
  • Seller must provide valid tracking
  • Shipping must match listing description (carrier, speed, method)

5.2 Local Pickup

Local pickup listings must include:

  • The meetup method (buyer-seller meetup or future Fisheez Hub)
  • Any required verification (QR code, if applicable)

5.3 Service Listings

Services must include:

  • A clear outline of what is delivered
  • Milestones (if applicable)
  • Any conditions or limitations
  • Clear deliverables

6. Required Disclosures

Sellers must disclose:

  • Known defects
  • Functional limitations
  • Expiration dates
  • Serial numbers removed or altered
  • Refurbishment or repair work

7. Prohibited Listing Conduct

The following are not allowed:

  • Keyword spamming
  • Cross-promotion to avoid Fisheez escrow
  • Directing buyers off-platform
  • Manipulating category placement
  • Fake scarcity or fake urgency
  • Duplicate listings intended to flood pages

8. Violations & Enforcement

Listings may be removed or restricted for violations. Enforcement actions can include:

  • Listing edits required
  • Temporary loss of listing privileges
  • Account suspension
  • Permanent removal from the platform

Actions are determined according to the Terms of Service, this Policy, and SmartShell logic.
