Fisheez Privacy Policy

This policy is incorporated by reference into the Fisheez Terms of Service and SmartShell Escrow Agreement.

1. Overview

Fisheez PBC (“Fisheez,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) values privacy, transparency, and user control.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information across the Fisheez marketplace, smart-contract systems, and community features.

Fisheez operates as a non-custodial marketplace and escrow facilitator.

We collect limited off-chain data for compliance, communication, and system functionality.

All blockchain activity remains user-controlled and public by design.

By using the Platform, users consent to the practices described here.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to all Fisheez websites, applications, dashboards, live events, and related tools.

It covers:

  • user registration and account management;
  • smart-contract and escrow interactions;
  • KYC / verification processes;
  • live-stream commerce and chat; and
  • AI-assisted features used for moderation or personalization.

It does not apply to independent third-party integrations (wallets, payment apps, or social platforms).

3. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide:

  • Account details (name, alias, contact info).
  • KYC or verification data (handled through secure, third-party compliance partners).
  • Listings, media uploads, and chat communications.
  • Dispute records and support communications.

B. Automatically Collected:

  • Device, browser, and session metadata.
  • Blockchain wallet addresses and transaction hashes.
  • Limited analytics for security and performance.

C. AI-Assisted Processing:

Fisheez may temporarily process text or image data through AI systems for moderation, translation, or fraud detection.

AI tools never enforce penalties automatically — all decisions are reviewed by humans.

4. How We Use Data

  • Operate and improve marketplace and escrow functionality.
  • Verify user identity and prevent fraud.
  • Facilitate transactions, disputes, and live-event moderation.
  • Provide system notifications and support.
  • Analyze aggregated data to enhance performance and stability.
  • Deliver contextual recommendations and on-platform advertising placements (see Advertising Policy).

Fisheez does not sell user data to external networks or brokers.

5. Data Sharing

We may share limited data with:

  • Compliance and verification providers (for KYC / AML).
  • Cloud and infrastructure partners (hosting, analytics, and delivery).
  • AI service providers used for moderation or performance.
  • Lawful authorities, when required by regulation or subpoena.

All third-party processors are contractually bound to maintain confidentiality and legal compliance.

6. Blockchain Data

Blockchain transactions are public and immutable.

Users should avoid including personal information in wallet names, transaction notes, or NFT metadata.

Fisheez cannot alter or delete on-chain records.

7. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for login, security, and functionality, plus limited analytics for site optimization.

Users can disable non-essential cookies through browser settings.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

8. Data Retention

Off-chain data is retained only as long as needed for lawful processing or dispute resolution, then securely deleted or anonymized.

On-chain data is permanent and publicly accessible.

9. Security

Fisheez uses encryption, limited access, and secure infrastructure.

No online system is completely secure — users are responsible for safeguarding their accounts and wallets.

10. AI Transparency

AI systems may assist with moderation, fraud detection, search, and accessibility.

All AI decisions are subject to human oversight.

Aggregated data may be used to train or improve AI models without identifying individual users.

11. Data Rights

Users may:

  • request access or correction of their personal data;
  • request deletion where legally permitted;
  • limit certain types of processing; or
  • opt out of communications and non-essential analytics.

12. Children’s Data

Fisheez is not intended for individuals under 18.

Accounts discovered to belong to minors will be restricted or removed in accordance with the Family & Youth Policy (§10).

13. Changes

Fisheez may update this Policy to reflect system or legal changes.

Updates become effective upon posting.

Users will be notified of material updates via platform notice or announcement.
