Offers & Pre-Checkout Messaging

Last updated January 8, 2026

This page explains how Make an Offer works on Fisheez, including buyer messaging, seller response timing, and how private checkout links are created.

1) What “Make an Offer” Is

Make an Offer lets a buyer propose a different price and include a message to the seller before checkout.

  • An offer is a proposal — not a purchase

  • No payment is taken when an offer is submitted

  • Inventory is not reserved unless the seller creates a private checkout link and the buyer funds it

2) Seller Opt-In Required

Sellers must enable Make an Offer on a listing to receive:

  • Offer amounts

  • Buyer messages related to the offer

If a seller does not enable Make an Offer, buyers cannot send offer messages through that listing.

3) Seller Response Window (72 Hours)

When a buyer submits an offer, the seller has up to 72 hours to respond.

The seller may:

  • Accept the offer

  • Ignore the offer (no response required)

If the seller does not respond within 72 hours, the offer expires.

4) If the Seller Accepts an Offer

If a seller accepts an offer, the seller will create a private or unlisted checkout link and send it to the buyer.

That private link may include:

  • The accepted offer price

  • Any agreed details confirmed in the messages (if applicable)

The transaction is not active until the buyer funds the private checkout link.

5) Offers Are Not Binding

All offers and messages are non-binding until the buyer completes payment through the private checkout link.

Fisheez does not guarantee:

  • That a seller will respond

  • That a seller will accept an offer

  • That a buyer will complete checkout after an offer is accepted

6) Low Offers (Seller Visibility Tools)

Fisheez may provide sellers with tools to manage and sort offers, including marking certain offers as “Low Offers” based on seller-defined preferences.

  • Sellers may set a minimum percentage threshold (example: “Only show as priority if within 80% of listing price”)

  • Offers below that threshold may be labeled as Low Offer for easier review

  • Low offers may still be delivered to the seller unless the seller chooses otherwise

7) Prohibited Use

Make an Offer and pre-checkout messaging may not be used to:

  • Harass, threaten, or spam other users

  • Request off-platform payment or contact methods

  • Circumvent platform fees or escrow

  • Share illegal content or prohibited items

Fisheez may restrict messaging or offers for accounts that abuse the feature.

8) Relationship to Other Rules

Make an Offer and related messages are also governed by:

  • Buyer Agreement

  • Seller Agreement

  • Terms of Service

  • Privacy Policy

  • Dispute Resolution & Refund Policy (if a funded transaction later results in a dispute)
