Fisheez Governance Overview & Community Standards

A New Kind of Marketplace — Built for People, Not Corporations
Fisheez is a public-benefit company with a simple mission:
give people a fair, safe, low-fee marketplace without the hidden rules, silent bans, or unfair policies that dominate traditional platforms.
We don’t control the outcomes of payments.
We don’t secretly penalize sellers.
We don’t lock your money for weeks.
Instead, we built something different:
-
SmartShell escrow keeps both sides safe
-
Community-driven dispute voting replaces corporate bias
-
Transparent rules replace mystery penalties
-
Low fees help people earn more
-
Pearls and Peacemakers reward good actors and honest participation
We believe marketplaces should serve people—not the other way around.
Why We Have Rules, KYC, and Compliance
Fisheez is built to give power back to the community without putting anyone at risk legally—including you, the seller, the buyer, and our entire company.
To operate legally in the United States and internationally, we must follow strict regulations, including:
-
Identity verification for certain transactions
-
Fraud prevention standards
-
Tax compliance
-
Prohibited item restrictions
-
Money-movement and KYC laws
-
Consumer protection requirements
If we don’t follow these rules, we don’t just risk shutting down—we risk fines, audits, and even criminal penalties.
So we designed Fisheez this way:
Give the community a voice,
give the buyers and sellers control,
but keep everything compliant so the platform survives long-term.
This is how we’re able to challenge the old system without being destroyed by it.
Why Fisheez Isn’t a DAO
We believe deeply in shared governance—but a fully decentralized DAO model does not fit:
-
the current regulatory environment,
-
our obligations to investors,
-
or the realities of US law around KYC, securities, and custodial risk.
So instead of a DAO, we use a hybrid model:
-
Fisheez PBC handles the legal requirements
-
Community Peacemakers handle disputes
-
Community feedback shapes policy
-
Smart contracts provide transparency and automation
-
Pearls reward positive contributions
-
Low fees and open competition protect users from corporate abuse
This gives people real influence without exposing the company—or users—to the dangers of unregulated governance.
In the future, more community-based models may become legally feasible, but we won’t risk the platform or its users by jumping ahead of the law.
Our Commitment to Fairness
All Fisheez rules are built around three principles:
1. Transparency
No hidden policies.
No surprise suspensions.
No inconsistent moderation.
2. Neutrality
Disputes are reviewed by independent Peacemakers, not corporate employees.
3. Low Fees & High Trust
We keep fees as low as possible so more money stays in the hands of the people actually doing the work—buyers, sellers, resellers, hosts, and creators.
Community Standards
To keep Fisheez safe, strong, and fair for everyone, we expect all users to:
-
Follow the marketplace rules
-
Follow local and federal laws
-
Treat others respectfully
-
Be honest in listings and transactions
-
Provide accurate evidence in disputes
-
Avoid harassment or abuse
-
Avoid scams or deceptive practices
-
Respect privacy
-
Avoid prohibited or dangerous items
-
Participate in good faith
This community works only if people protect it together.
Built to Survive — and Built to Empower
Fisheez is designed to challenge the systems that hold people back—but we do it the right way:
-
Legal
-
Compliant
-
Transparent
-
Community-guided
-
And built to last
We follow the rules so we don’t get shut down.
We innovate so we can change the rules later, when we’re big enough to matter.
Fisheez wasn’t built to be another giant corporate monopoly.
It’s built to become the new standard:
fair, open, community-powered commerce for the future.
